How Babycoach was 'born'

Rosemary found that although there was much help 'advertised' before and after the birth of her 4 children - much of it really didn't seem to work too well - especially if the mum was  also affected with pre or postnatal depression or had other stresses surrounding her eg. health complications of mum or baby during pregnancy, birth or after the birth, being separated from family support etc...

After the birth of her last child 14 years ago, she became a volunteer telephone counsellor for a government new mum support line...and was amazed to find that 24/7 untrained women (it was only chance that she was an RN)  were trusted with this crucial job. She was dealing with some very desperate mums and dads.

This motivated her to become a midwife and find a better way to better prepare women and their partners for pregnancy, birth and parenting.

For the last ten years she has worked between midwifery and acute mental health -  In both tertiary public and private hospitals. Gaining much experience in mother & baby units, antenatal clinics, postnatal wards and birth suites, holding many workshop sessions over the years and speaking to various groups of professionals, mothers groups and the public.

Rosemary has experienced first hand, how a combined approach of midwifery and naturopathy can prevent and treat even complex mother & baby issues. She had worked with an excellent naturopath in a combined midwife/naturopathic approach to prevent and quickly resolve common mum and baby problems, including measures to help prevent and treat prenatal and postnatal depression. This led to her studying naturopathy.... to add to her ability to fully care for her clients.
